The Orange San Diego will be the UK’s first phone equipped with the Intel Atom Z2460 processor. This phone, previously codenamed Santa Clara, will be exclusive to Orange and will launch on 6th June.
Equipped with a 4.03 inch capacitive display and an 8 megapixel camera, the Orange San Diego runs Android and supports high-definition video playback and 1080p video capture with image stabilization. It also works with Orange’s mobile HD voice service.
A promotional launch offer will see the handset free on a 24-month minimum term contract from £15.50 per month or priced at £199.99 on Orange Pay As You Go.
Paul Jevons, Director of Products and Devices for Orange UK, said “We’re proud to be working with such an exciting partner as Intel, and offering our customers the first Orange Intel powered smartphone on the market. The San Diego is a great addition to our own-branded device portfolio, and is testament to our heritage in offering consumers great value innovation.”
