Mobile analytics company Motally is being acquired by Nokia, with the deal expected to be concluded in the autumn. Nokia says it plans to continue serving Motally's existing customer base while adapting the company's tracking and reporting service for Qt, Symbian, Meego and Java developers.
Marco Argenti, Vice President of Media at Nokia, said "The acquisition underpins Nokia's drive to deliver in-application and mobile web browsing analytics to Ovi's growing, global eco-system of developers and publishers, enabling partners to better connect with their customers and optimize and monetize their offering."
San Francisco-based Motally Inc was founded in 2008 and currently employs eight people.
