Sagem Wireless, which recently produced branded mobile devices including the Porsche Design mobile phone and the Puma phone, has become MobiWire. This change of name marks a new focus on the user experience and connected services within branded consumer electronics devices.
As part of the announcement, MobiWire has revealed Surface, its recently-patented Android user interface. Surface promises a new way of multi-tasking that makes it easier to move between screens and applications.
Jerome Nadel, EVP of User Experience at MobiWire, said “With our increasingly powerful handset and tablet devices, the user interface, both physical and digital, can open or limit the potential of the device and the services it delivers. Using intelligence to improve experience, Surface presents content from applications and the web, removing the need to navigate between them and simplifying access to a connected experience.”
