Mark Bridge writes:

Another year, another Mobile World Congress!

It’s something of a cliché to talk about the months flying by, how it seems like yesterday when everyone in Barcelona had a Nokia handset and the dancers on the CBOSS stand were all wearing full-length evening dresses. Yet it’s also true. Except for that part about the dancers, anyway.

Here at TheFonecast.com we’ve had a busy 12 months that have seen us talking to more and more people, gaining a much larger audience and watching the mobile industry grow dramatically.

When Mobile World Congress opens at the end of February, The Fonecast will be there. We’ll be reporting from MWC for the entire week, recording daily podcasts and posting regular updates for thousands upon thousands of unique readers and listeners who visit our web site every month.

If you’re part of the mobile phone business - whether or not you’re planning to attend MWC - those days offer a unique opportunity.

TheFonecast.com is offering businesses the ability to include a promotional message in our daily broadcasts. Each podcast is delivered on the website, via an RSS feed and also on iTunes... and remains available after the event. Alternatively, we have online advertising available - and would also be happy to talk about bespoke packages of podcast interviews and reports.

If you’re interested or would like more information, please get in touch with me, Iain or James.

ExclusiveWe review the CAT B100 rugged mobile phone

Mark Bridge takes an in-depth look at the CAT B100 rugged phone from Bullitt Mobile.

The CAT B100 is designed to withstand rather more than everyday bumps and knocks - which is why Mark drops his mobile phone on the pavement, submerges it in his washing-up bowl and shuts it in the freezer.
