Vodafone has announced a number of new own-brand products today, including the Android-powered Vodafone 845. It's Vodafone's first own-branded Android smartphone – running the latest Android 'Eclair' (version 2.1) software – and is expected in the UK next month.

The Vodafone 845 has a 2.8-inch screen, WiFi and a 3.2 megapixel camera… and it'll be preloaded with Vodafone 360 services.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer is? If produced in sufficient volume and the hardware is of a high enough quality Vodafone should sell a lot of these worldwide and form an "own brand" niche in the mid tier of the market. It seems the Android market share is growing exponentially. I look forward to a hands on test. James
