Top 10 Mobile Phone Lyrics

A little weekend musing.

Once upon a time, song lyrics all seemed to mention phones. "5-7-0-5... but there's no reply". "Got a call from an old friend, we used to be real close". Today's music is all about mobiles, of course. Here's my personal top ten list of lyrics that reference mobile technology - well, ten that I thought of today.

Girls Aloud: Life Got Cold
We text as we eat as we listen to the freaks as we wait for the right of way,
We text as we talk, we're running as we walk, cos we surf our little souls away

Eels: Birdgirl on a Cell Phone
She makes a call on her friend's cell phone,
The operator answers and says "you're not alone"

The Game: Camera Phone
You should take a picture with your camera phone.

Beyonce: Video Phone
So press record and let you film me on your video phone

Sugababes: Angels With Dirty Faces
If you want me, just text me, cuz I'm having a chemical reaction

Miley Cyrus: 7 Things
When you mean it, I'll believe it
If you text it, I'll delete it

Kelly: Txt Msg Brkup
You couldn't do it in person, you had to text message break up

Kaiser Chiefs: Highroyds
Got a text from an ex
She wants to know when we're in London next

Sheryl Crow: Steve McQueen
You can tell me on my cellphone,
You can page me all night long

LL Cool J: Feel the Beat
Check ya T-Mobile it's all over the wire

And a bonus - couldn't resist...
Elvis Presley: Guitar Man
I found myself in Mobile Alabama
In a club they call Big Jack's.

Feel free to add your own to the list!
