Watch out Groupon, O2 is moving in

O2 Priority MomentsO2 UK is building on the success of its ‘Priority Tickets’ service by launching a new location-based offers scheme called Priority Moments. It’ll rival existing ‘voucher’ discount services such as Groupon and will be available to O2’s 22 million customers across the UK. The deals could save O2 customers over £100 per month.

Sally Cowdry, O2’s Marketing and Consumer Director, said “Only O2 can do this. No other companies in this space have the direct, loyal relationship with the customer. O2 is a trusted brand and through Priority Moments we have established long term partnerships with well loved and respected brands that people want to engage with regularly. You will consistently find offers and experiences from O2 and these companies over a long period of time. The key word here is priority. We designed the service to make life easier, cheaper and more enjoyable for our customers. This is not a tactical programme of one-off deals – it’s about building a long-term, nationwide service that benefits both our customers and our partners.”

During the launch period there will be over 40 individual offers from 30 participating brands, giving customers over 3500 participating high street outlets. Priority Moments at launch include half-price Odeon cinema tickets, an exclusive Harvey Nichols tote bag and a free glass of prosecco and dough sticks at Zizzi.

The scheme can be used by any O2 customer with a WAP-enabled device; a free Priority Moments application is also available for iPhone and Android customers.
