Google's 2022 I/O conference for developers has seen the company previewing new products, including its Pixel 7 smartphone, a Pixel tablet and the first smartwatch entirely built by Google.

The latest Samsung Unpacked event has revealed the company's new premium Android-powered smartphone range: the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which includes the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.

Chinese technology manufacturer Huawei has launched a range of smartphones, smart watches and tablets that run its new HarmonyOS 2 operating system. The move emphasises the company’s transition away from Google’s Android OS.

Samsung Electronics has revealed five new devices, including its flagship Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G handset, during a live-streamed virtual event.

Finnish mobile company Jolla says it has completed its latest investment round and has secured new financing for the company.

It follows an announcement in November, when co-founder Antti Saarnio described the company as being in a “death valley”.

By incorporating advanced algorithms and machine learning capabilities, AI can help to optimize a smartphone's performance, providing users with a faster, more efficient and user-friendly experience.
