Exclusive'Aluminium frame' on Sony Xperia SP smartphone breached ASA advertising code

The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld a complaint made about online advertising for the Sony Xperia SP smartphone.

A page on the www.sonymobile.com website had described the phone has having “an exquisite aluminium frame”. However, a customer who’d bought the phone said the ad was misleading because he didn’t believe that the frame was made from aluminium.

ExclusiveHTC One and HTC One mini still not banned in the UK

Last week a High Court judge - the Honourable Mr Justice Arnold - ordered an injunction against a number of HTC devices being sold in the UK.

However, an appeal by HTC has now resulted in the injunction being stayed until 12th December 2013.
