Wireless technology business CSR plc - previously known as Cambridge Silicon Radio - has announced a deal to transfer its handset connectivity and location operations to Samsung Electronics for $310 million.
In addition, Samsung is investing $34.4 million for a 4.9% investment in CSR. Over 300 staff will be transferred from CSR plc to Samsung as part of the deal.

Apigee, a US-based business that helps organisations deliver and manage APIs and the apps built on them, has acquired the technology assets of WAC.

Independent payment service provider Sage Pay Europe has announced a partnership with mCommerce provider The MoBank Group that’ll let Sage Pay’s merchants offer mobile payments.
The new service will use MoPowered, Mobank’s secure Software-as-a-Service mCommerce solution.

Microsoft has revealed a customer preview of its new Microsoft Office productivity suite, which features familiar programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. It is designed to work with touch, stylus, mouse or keyboard controls and offers more social and cloud-based connectivity than previous versions.
A separate version of the software called Office Home and Student 2013 RT will be built into ARM-based Windows 8 devices, including the forthcoming Microsoft Surface tablet.
