Nokia launches its first 'Facebook phone'

New Nokia Asha 205 has a dedicated Facebook button

Nokia has launched two new feature phones today. The Nokia Asha 205 has a QWERTY keyboard and dedicated Facebook button while the Nokia 206 has a ‘candy bar’ design.

Both are expected to go on sale from around $62 SIM-free (£46 incl. VAT) later this year.

Facebook says 14% of advertising revenue is now coming from mobile

Facebook has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2012, reporting a 32% increase in revenue to $1.262 billion (£782 million) but a quarterly loss of $59 million.

Revenue from advertising was $1.09 billion, a 36% increase from the same quarter last year.

Facebook now has one billion regular users

Facebook now has one billion regular users

Social network Facebook has confirmed that one billion people now regularly use the service. It actually passed the milestone figure of 1 billion active monthly users on 14th September.

600 million users currently access Facebook via mobile devices.
