GAME plans to bring free WiFi to its UK shops

Videogame retailer GAME is planning to introduce free WiFi to all its 341 UK shops by Christmas.

The new service, which will be offered in partnership with BT, enables the company to showcase all its gaming content to in-store customers.

Cricket spectators to enjoy free WiFi at Lord's

Lord's, the London cricket ground owned by Marylebone Cricket Club, is to offer its visitors free WiFi access.

A five-year deal has been agreed between the MCC and WiFi provider The Cloud.

Free WiFi coming to South Hampshire buses

The Transport for South Hampshire council partnership says local bus passengers will soon be able to enjoy free WiFi on their smartphones, tablets and laptops. The service will be rolled out from this month following a £4.5 million bid to the Department for Transport’s Better Bus Area Fund and additional investment from bus operators.

As well as providing free WiFi, the funding will be used to improve & refurbish buses, for driver training and to offer up-to-date bus timetable information via smartphones.

O2 introduces prepay personal WiFi hotspot

O2 UK has launched a pocket-sized personal mobile WiFi device. It’s called the O2 Pocket Hotspot and enables up to five WiFi-enabled devices to connect to the internet.

The new ZTE MF60 device can be bought from £59.99 with the option of a daily top-up or with 1GB or 2GB 30-day bundles.
