London Underground and Virgin Media have named a list of 82 London Underground stations that will offer free WiFi this summer. Oxford Circus, Stratford, Liverpool Street, Leicester Square and King’s Cross will be among the first to launch.
Virgin Media’s WiFi service will be free throughout the summer, with charges introduced at a later date.

BT says it’s on track to have 500,000 WiFi hotspots working across London in time for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including exclusive WiFi service across the Olympic Park in East London. The figure is a combination of commercial-standard hotspots plus thousands of independent businesses and homes that have joined the BT FON community.
Nine Olympic venues including the Olympic Stadium, the Aquatics Centre, Velodrome and all public areas of the Olympic Park will be served by a new network of nearly 1,000 WiFi access points.

The latest move in the battle for indoor internet coverage has seen pub group Greene King signing a deal with WiFi provider The Cloud.
The two companies already had a deal to offer WiFi in 300 pubs; this new agreement will see free WiFi available in 1,000 managed premises - including the Hungry Horse and Loch Fyne brands - and also offered to 1,400 leased and tenanted premises.
