HTC Corporation has announced unaudited results for the second quarter of 2013.
Total revenue for Q2 2013 was NT$70.7 billion (£1.6 billion), while net income after tax was NT$1.25 billion (£27.8 million).

Developers will invest $670 million (£446 million) in Augmented Reality applications this year, according to a new forecast from ABI Research.
The increase will be seen as AR is used more in mobile devices, particularly when it comes to retail and marketing.

Last month bookseller Barnes & Noble announced that its Nook tablets wouldn’t be produced as own-brand devices any more.
Although it would maintain the production of its eBook readers, the next generation of Nook colour-screen tablets would be co-branded with third-party manufacturers.
