The majority of navigation-equipped cars that are being launched at this week’s Paris Motor Show have their in-dash navigation powered by Nokia’s HERE mapping business, the company says.
Its maps can be found in more than 50 of the estimated 62 new car models with in-dash navigation at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Michael Halbherr, the CEO of Nokia’s location business HERE, is stepping down from his role at the end of the month.
He says he’s planning to focus on his entrepreneurial activities in the future.

The Nokia 130 has a SIM-free price of €19 before tax (£15+VAT; £18 incl. VAT) and is expected to start shipping this autumn. Availability is expected in China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Nokia Networks - formerly known as NSN - has agreed to acquire Panasonic’s 3G and LTE base station system business.
