Come on, Steve Jobs – why don't you attack a few more mobile companies?

Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend breaks up with him acrimoniously. So off he goes and creates Facebook. Yes, there's nothing like an insult to fire up the creativity. Well, that's certainly what the plot of The Social Network would like you to think.

And, you know, it's got a point. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that sticking two fingers up at the opposition seems to be the new way of doing business.

Apple's quarterly results reveal record revenue

Apple has published its financial results for the quarter that ended 25th September 2010. Revenue hit a record $20.34 billion, with net quarterly profit at $4.31 billion. 57% of this revenue came from international sales.

New flip-open BlackBerry arriving in the USA later this month

If you thought flip-open designs were obsolescent, you've not been talking to the 100 million US consumers who currently use a phone with a flip. That's one of the reasons Research In Motion has created the BlackBerry Style 9670, a 'flip smartphone' with a full QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Style also features the new BlackBerry 6 operating system, an optical trackpad, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and an expandable memory.

Mobile and wireless research firm iSuppli Corp says its Q2 2010 list of the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers is dominated by companies utilising the Android operating system.

No problem for BlackBerry services in UAE after 'collaboration' from RIM

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in the United Arab Emirates says BlackBerry services can continue to operate as normal because they're now compliant with the UAE's telecommunications regulatory framework. Certain BlackBerry services had been threatened with closure this month after security concerns were raised in August.
