T-Mobile UK introduces 'The Full Monty' tariff with unlimited calls, unlimited texts and unlimited internet usage

T-Mobile UK has announced a new tariff that’ll let customers make unlimited calls, send unlimited texts, and use the mobile internet as much as they want without any ‘fair use’ restrictions.

The deal is called The Full Monty and will be available on all phones in the T-Mobile UK range from Wednesday 1st February 2012.

Intel to acquire video software and patents from RealNetworks

RealNetworks has agreed to sell around 190 patents and 170 patent applications to Intel Corporation for $120 million.

The deal also includes next-generation video codec software from RealNetworks and lets RealNetworks use the patents in current and future products.

German court rules in favour of Doro after competitor infringes design rights

Doro AB, the Swedish company known for its easy-to-use mobile phones, has announced its legal victory over a competitor.

Earlier this month a court in Germany upheld a preliminary ruling that stopped Emporia Deutschland from selling a Telme-branded clamshell mobile phone similar in appearance to Doro’s products.

Apple takes smartphone crown for Q4, Samsung on top for 2011 total

Research from Strategy Analytics says global smartphone shipments were up almost 54% year-on-year to a record 155 million units in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Apple overtook Samsung in Q4 2011 with 24% market share, making it the world’s largest smartphone supplier for the quarter.
