Google says the Android Market application store has now served over 10 billion app downloads - and continues to grow at a rate of one billion downloads per month.
The first billion downloads were achieved in July 2010.

Mobile banking and payment company mFoundry, which recently announced a partnership with MasterCard, has confirmed it’s received an investment of $18 million (£11.5 million) in growth capital.
The investment was led by MasterCard along with Intel Capital, FIS and Motorola Mobility.

The winners of the inaugural Vodafone Foundation Smart Accessibility Awards have been announced at a ceremony attended by Neelie Kroes, the European Commissioner for Digital Agenda.
The competition was launched earlier this year in partnership with AGE Platform Europe and the European Disability Forum. Its aim was to reward developers who’d used the power of smartphones and the mobile internet to support the needs of disabled and older people.
