Google has launched a new interactive resource for companies and individuals that need information about mobile consumers.
Called Our Mobile Planet, it can provide insights into how customers are using their mobile devices and how businesses are engaging those consumers via mobile.

The dictionary-defying merger between mobile software business Vringo and messaging company Zlango isn’t happening any more.
Instead the two companies have signed a Cooperation Agreement that’ll see them working together while retaining their independence.

Adobe Systems has agreed to acquire Nitobi Software, the Canadian company behind the open source PhoneGap platform for developing mobile applications.
It means that Adobe will be able to offer two mobile app development choices: Adobe Flash using Adobe AIR, and HTML5 & JavaScript via PhoneGap.

Apple’s evangelists will need to wait a little longer for the iPhone 5, it seems. Last night’s announcement of the Apple iPhone 4S by Apple CEO Tim Cook seems to have disappointed many people, although plenty of others had predicted the arrival of this faster and smarter sibling for the iPhone 4.
