Market research company IHS iSuppli has been looking at the trend of incorporating 'wireless charging' cradles or mats in vehicles. It says proprietary solutions are now giving way to industry standards that are compatible with a variety of devices.
The company notes that Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles could include Powermat inductive charging from next year.

Stephen Elop, Nokia's President and CEO, has said that software updates and support for Symbian phones will continue until 2016 at the earliest.

The latest comScore MobiLens research shows that 20 million mobile phone users across the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy accessed their bank accounts via their mobiles in March.
Overall, that's 8.5% of mobile phone users. In addition, 5.1% accessed credit cards and 5.2% accessed electronic payments via their mobile devices.
