Networks appeal against Ofcom termination rate plans

There are a lot of appeals going on at the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.

Vodafone and Everything Everywhere say Ofcom's cut their mobile termination rates by too much, while Three UK and BT say the rates haven't been cut enough.

Orange and Barclaycard launch mobile phone payment service in the UK

Orange and Barclaycard have launched what's being described as the UK's first contactless mobile phone payments service.

It's called Quick Tap and uses an NFC-equipped SIM card from Gemalto, enabling customers to make purchases of £15 and under nationwide at over 50,000 stores that have adopted the MasterCard PayPass contactless payment system.

Apocalypse Nokia

The phenomenon of 'apocalypse sex' is often seen in movies, comedy shows and advertisements. The end of the world's just around the corner so… hey… what the heck?

I reckon it shares the same emotional basis as being 'demob happy' or having that 'end of term feeling' at school.

And that feeling seems to be in plentiful supply at Nokia HQ in Espoo.
