First there were SIMs the size of credit cards. Then there were the fingernail-sized cards we've become familiar with. More recently we've seen a microSIM in the Apple iPhone 4. And now Apple wants to shrink SIM cards even more.
Apple has contacted the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to propose an ultra-small SIM card for future devices.

RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook will launch in the UK on Thursday 16th June 2011, with pricing expected to start at £399 for the 16GB tablet.
The 7-inch PlayBook was first revealed in September and was released in the USA last month.

O2 UK is reporting problems on its network in parts of London, Kent and East Sussex. It follows the theft of equipment from one of the company's sites in East London early this morning.
Calls, text messaging and data services are all affected.

Vodafone has announced its results for the financial year ended 31st March 2011.
Group revenue was up 3.2% to £45.9 billion, while adjusted operating profit rose 3.1% to £11.8 billion. Revenue from data traffic was up 26.4% year-on-year to £5.1 billion, representing 12% of the company's service revenue.
