ExclusiveEverything Everywhere reports 'underlying growth' in quarterly results

Everything Everywhere has published its quarterly results for Q3 of 2011.

Turnover was down 4.3% year-on-year to £1,697 million, although this would have been a slight increase if it hadn’t been for the reduction in Mobile Termination rate charges. Similarly, service revenue was down by 1.9% but would otherwise have seen a 3.8% increase.

LG Electronics has reported financial results for the three-month period ending 30th September 2011.

It says sales were affected by the sluggish global economy, with losses on investments leading to a quarterly net loss. However, it notes that cost controls and efficiency improvements meant operating income improved for all its four companies compared with the same period last year.

ExclusiveNext version of BlackBerry PlayBook OS delayed until next year

Research In Motion has delayed the release of the next version of its BlackBerry PlayBook operating system until next year.

It also says its BlackBerry Messenger app won’t appear in that release, although the ‘BlackBerry Bridge’ smartphone-to-tablet service will continue to offer BBM access.

ExclusiveCloud communications company Twilio brings its app-friendly telephone services to the UK

Cloud communications company Twilio has launched Twilio Voice in the UK and has opened an office in London. It means developers can use Twilio’s Application Programming Interface to build web and mobile applications that can make and receive telephone calls via UK telephone numbers.

The company has also launched a beta service in Poland, France, Portugal, Austria and Denmark, with an additional 11 countries launching by the end of the year.
