Appitalism.com describes itself as the first site to combine a social community with an online store. It has more than ten million apps, songs, books, games and videos available to download for smartphones, tablet devices, PCs and eBook readers.

France Telecom has unveiled a new tagline for the Orange Group that'll be rolled out worldwide in line with local events and launches, starting today in France.
The French version is "la vie change avec Orange" (which translates as Life changes with Orange), while the English version is "today changes with Orange".

Nokia and Symbian have issued a statement that emphasises Nokia's commitment to Symbian – but will see the non-profit Symbian Foundation shrinking to just handing software licensing and other intellectual property responsibilities. In future, Nokia will "make the future development of the Symbian platform available to the ecosystem via an alternative direct and open model."

Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer sold over 49 million of his Microsoft shares at the end of last week; shares worth a total of $1.335 billion. This leaves him with over 358 million shares in Microsoft, which represents around 4.2% of the company.
