ExclusiveUK dealer association says Ofcom should step in if dealer numbers keep falling

The Independent Mobile Phone Dealer Association's Chris Caudle says Ofcom should get involved if the number of independent mobile phone dealers keeps falling. In this week's edition of The Fonecast he talks about the recent drop in UK dealer numbers – estimated by some to be a 30% reduction in the last 12 months – and says Ofcom has told him it'll intervene if competition is affected by the expansion of network shops and a reduction in the UK's dealer base. He reckons Ofcom would need to take action if the current trend continues for another twelve months.
