The WiFi-only version of the Apple iPad tablet computer went on sale in the United States from 3rd April. UK sales of the WiFi-only and 3G/WiFi versions are expected to start at the end of this month.

Described as having the industry's highest brightness, the new display lets users view three-dimensional images without needing to wear special glasses. In addition, the display can switch between 2D and 3D modes.
