It’s announced the availability of the latest Intel Atom processors, which had previously been code-named ‘Cedar Trail’.

The number of active users who access Facebook every month via a mobile application has just passed 300 million, according to Benedict Evans from research company Enders Analysis.
He notes that Facebook announced 350 million mobile users in total a few months ago, from an overall total of 800 million users.

Both Apple and Google have enjoyed a very busy Christmas when it comes to mobile devices.
Andy Rubin, Google’s Senior Vice President of Mobile, announced that 3.7 million Android devices were activated worldwide on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. He’d confirmed a daily activation rate of 700,000 Android devices earlier in December.

Berg Insight has calculated that the global mobile marketing and advertising market will grow in value from €2.6 billion last year to €17.2 billion in 2016, which is the equivalent of growing by 37% each year.
This will correspond to 15.2% of the total online advertising market in 2016 and 3.8% of the global advertising spend across all media.

Following legal action by Swedish mobile phone company Doro, Polish company TelForceOne has been forbidden from manufacturing, exporting or advertising mobile phones using its DURO brand. This is a preliminary ruling referring to mobile phones with keypads that are similar to Doro designs.
In addition, all Duro-branded phones are to be impounded.
