Sony Computer Entertainment says it’ll start the full-scale launch of PlayStation Mobile in the autumn.
The service, previously named PlayStation Suite, will bring Sony PlayStation games to a variety of mobile devices. This initial launch will include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the UK and the USA.

The latest research from the comScore MobiLens service shows that one in eight European smartphone owners has completed a retail transaction on their mobile phone.
The study, which looked at mobile commerce across France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, noted that 19.5 million smartphone users across these ‘EU5’ countries had accessed retail content, with 75% of them conducting and completing a purchase. That’s over 14.5 million mobile shoppers across Europe.

Visa Europe says its new online digital wallet service, V.me by Visa, will be available to a select group of consumers in the UK, Spain and France from autumn this year. Further details, including information about participating banks and retailers, will be announced soon.
V.me by Visa will let consumers add several different credit/debit cards to their digital wallet and then access the service via PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

BlueVia, Telefonica’s developer program, has announced that Telefónica will be closing its App Stores in Germany, Spain and Argentina at the end of the month.
This affects the O2 App Store in Germany and Movistar App Stores in Spain and Argentina.

More than 67,000 people visited Mobile World Congress this year, setting a new record for the GSMA’s event. The four-day mobile industry conference and exhibition attracted visitors from 205 countries worldwide, with visitor numbers up 11% year-on-year.
Over 1,500 companies exhibited.
