Motorola Mobility has announced two new hands-free devices in its Elite Series of accessories.
The Motorola HZ800 Bluetooth headset and the Motorola TZ700 Bluetooth in-car speakerphone are both compatible with the company’s MotoSpeak2.0 application, which offers text-to-speech and speech-to-text technology allowing users to have their text messages read aloud and to dictate responses.
Last year, worldwide sales of 'aftermarket' mobile phone accessories – items that aren't included with the handset – generated revenue of $26.5 billion. ABI Research now reckons that figure will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 11.4% to exceed $50 billion in 2015.
Hyundai Mobile says its MB-910 watch phone (or 'phone watch', if you prefer) will be available in the UK by the summer - and it's likely to sell for £200 SIM-free. That's considerably less than the similarly-named LG G910 watch phone, which is expected to have a £1000 price tag when it turns up towards the end of the year. The touch-screen tri-band MB-910 weighs 58g and can manage up to 3 hours of talk time or 70 hours on standby.
