ExclusiveSamsung reveals more about its tablet device with an online video News Mark - August 24, 2010 Samsung has revealed details of its forthcoming tablet computer in an online video. The Samsung Galaxy Tab will apparently have a 7-inch screen, a built-in camera that supports video calling and will run Android 2.2. It's expected to offer HD movie playback and, like the Galaxy S smartphone, will include Swype software for text entry. A formal launch is expected at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin on 2nd September.
ExclusiveIrish regulator says Hutchison 3G Ireland calculated prepay figures incorrectly News Mark - August 24, 2010 Irish communications regulator ComReg says Hutchison 3G Ireland (Three Ireland) has admitted miscalculating the number of active prepay users on its network. The figures, which are used in ComReg's Quarterly Key Data Report, have been incorrectly stated since 2006.
ExclusiveWeb browsing from Android smartphones is up 400% this year News Mark - August 24, 2010 Mobile analytics and payment company Bango Inc says the volume of mobile web browsing from Android phones grew by 400% in the USA between Q1 and Q2 2010. The volume of growth from Apple devices was just 13% during the same period.
ExclusiveIntel and Nokia open joint research lab News Mark - August 24, 2010 Last year Intel and Nokia announced a partnership. They've since worked together on the creation of MeeGo and are now opening a joint research centre. It's called the Intel and Nokia Joint Innovation Center, it'll employ around 24 R&D professionals and it'll be based at the Center for Internet Excellence within the University of Oulu in Finland.
