ABI Research says it expects expects mobile application downloads from iOS (the Apple operating system) and Android to account for 78% of all app downloads in 2010. Just over half of all apps – 52% – will be for iOS.

The business division of Three UK has signed a deal with The Prince’s Trust charity that'll offer thousands of young entrepreneurs a reduced rate on their mobile phone bills. Three Business has created a 24-month package with a line rental discount and a free 2GB data allowance. It's available for all young entrepreneurs who have received start-up business support from The Prince’s Trust.

O2 UK is now offering Research In Motion’s BlackBerry smartphones on a Pay & Go prepaid tariff. The company's Pay & Go deal for BlackBerry smartphones offers customers inclusive BlackBerry Messenger usage and 500MB of monthly data when they top-up with a minimum of £15 per month.
