2013 will be a breakthrough year for Sony in the mobile sector, says CEO

AdaptiveMobile warns about increasing numbers of mobile security threats crossing national borders

Mobile security business AdaptiveMobile launched the latest edition of its Global Security Insights in Mobile report at Mobile World Congress last week.

The report, which was revealed during the Mobile Security Forum event, warns that cross-border threats will spread more easily as 4G LTE and rich communications services (RCS) are adopted by networks and consumers.

O2 launches 'TU Go' VoIP app in the UK

Customers can make 'mobile' calls from any compatible internet-connected device

O2 UK has launched a new application that enables customers to link their O2 mobile number to any compatible device for calls, text messages and voicemail.

It’s called TU Go and follows Telefonica’s launch of the TU brand last year.

Most mobile internet users are as happy with mobile advertising as they are with TV or online ads

Mobile advertising business InMobi has announced the results of its Mobile Media Consumption Report, which contains information from over 15,000 mobile users in 14 markets around the world.

Overall, 50% of global mobile web users said they now used their mobile device as the main way to go online.
