Lee Williams has stepped down from his role of Executive Director of the Symbian Foundation after two years for personal reasons. Former Symbian Foundation CFO Tim Holbrow has been appointed to the Executive Director role with immediate effect.

HP has revealed webOS 2.0, the most significant update to the company's OS since it was launched last year. The first webOS 2.0 device will be the 1GHz Palm Pre 2 smartphone, which will be available from Friday in France. It's scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada within the next few months.
