Sony says it's planning a 'PlayStation Suite' that'll offer gaming on Android smartphones and tablets. Games will be available from a dedicated PlayStation Store for Android devices.
The company also revealed a new 3G-connected and GPS-enabled next-generation PlayStation Portable (PSP) device, which it referred to as NGP.

Everything Everywhere is launching a contactless mobile payment service later this year. It'll use the Orange brand and will operate in partnership with Barclaycard.
The two companies already offer a contactless NFC credit card.

Research company Gartner has forecast that worldwide mobile application store downloads are expected to reach 17.7 billion downloads this year, a 117% increase from last year’s estimate of 8.2 billion downloads.
Revenue from the applications sold is projected to exceed $15.1 billion in 2011.

Facebook has acquired Rel8tion, a Seattle-based business that was less than a year old.
Rel8tion had previously been working to create a mobile advertising service that used a person’s location when determining the most appropriate advertising to display.
