Orange is negotiating with online video site Dailymotion about acquiring a 49% stake for 58.8 million Euro. The French telecoms giant would then have the option to increase its capital to 100% from 2013.
Dailymotion, which is based in Paris, is the world’s largest online video site after YouTube.

Anvil Mobile, a virtual network that uses Three UK, has created a new mobile service for children and vulnerable adults. It’s called ‘Simply Safe’ and it automatically scans every text message sent and received to identify potential risks.
The Simply Safe SIM sends a text message or email to a parent, guardian or carer if abusive language and possible bullying or predatory behaviour is detected.

Vodafone UK and Gamma Telecom have signed a Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator wholesale agreement, enabling Gamma to create Mobile Virtual Network Operators on the Vodafone network.
It’s Vodafone UK’s first MVNA that specifically targets the business market and is due to go live in Q2 2011.
