Three UK has cut the prices of calling international mobiles and landlines from the UK for ‘pay as you go’ customers. It’s extended the ‘prefix’ service it introduced in April, offering discounted calls to 25 destinations.

Industrial Technology Research Institute, a Taiwan-based research group that’s linked to the country’s government, has accused LG Electronics of infringing 22 patents. The patents cover a wide range of products from mobile phones to air conditioners, although most seem to involve LCD screens.

Mobile VoIP and virtual mobile network operator Truphone has created a desktop application for its VoIP service. It’s also announced a new name for its brand: Tru.
