Member-supported UK virtual network giffgaff has introduced an experimental tariff that rewards users with a minute’s credit for every 60-seconds of received calls. It’s called 'Hokey Cokey' and costs £5 per month for 60 minutes of UK calls plus 300 texts to UK mobiles.

RingGo, which is used for around three-quarters of all the UK’s pay-by-phone parking, has acquired US-based iControl Mobile. It’ll trade under the iControl name for a short while before moving to the RingGo brand.

The long-awaited split of Motorola has finally been approved by the company’s board of directors. Motorola Mobility Holdings – the ‘mobile’ part of Motorola’s business – will separate from the rest of Motorola before the US stock market opens on 4th January 2011. The remaining part of Motorola will then change its name to Motorola Solutions.
