By 2016, a third of all mobile game revenue will come from tablet spending

A new report from Juniper Research says spending on tablet games will account for around a third of all mobile game revenue by 2016.

It expects the amount of money spent by consumers on games for tablets to reach $3.1 billion by 2014, up from $491 million in 2011.

GSMA works with Wireless Broadband Alliance to simplify WiFi hotspot connections

The GSMA and the Wireless Broadband Alliance are working together to make it easier for mobile devices to connect to WiFi hotspots.

Both organisations are developing technical and commercial frameworks for ‘WiFi roaming’, which should result in a simpler consumer experience.
