Qualcomm Incorporated has acquired a collection of gesture-recognition assets from GestureTek. GestureTek will retain a number of other assets connected with its gesture-controlled digital sign business.
Gesture recognition technology will now be integrated into Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors, giving manufacturers the ability to produce smartphones, tablets and entertainment devices that are controlled by human gestures.

Orange Digital, a France Telecom/Orange subsidiary set up earlier this year, has created a new homepage for the Orange.co.uk website.
It's the first major project to be designed, developed and delivered for Everything Everywhere by Orange Digital.

The number of mobile payment users around the world will exceed 141.1 million this year, a 38% increase from 2010, according to new research from Gartner. In addition, the total volume of worldwide mobile payments is forecast to exceed $86 billion, up more than 75% from last year's figure.
Despite these projected increases, Gartner doesn't think the mobile payment market is growing as quickly as expected.
