Motorola Mobility Holdings has reported its quarterly and full year results today.
The company recorded an operating loss of $285 million for the year (compared to a loss of $76 million in 2010) and a loss of $70 million in the fourth quarter.

Mobile web browser business Skyfire Labs has raised $8 million in its latest round of funding. Current investors Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners have been joined by Verizon Communications subsidiary Verizon Investments LLC.
Skyfire says it’ll use the funds to meet the demands of wireless operator customers and also to expand into Europe and Asia.

Alpha Telecom, which launched its own prepaid virtual mobile network last year, has ceased trading.
A notice on the company website reads “Onyx Innovation UK Ltd trading as Alpha Telecom has ceased to trade and will shortly be put into liquidation.

Good Technology, which enables the secure use of consumer smartphones within businesses, has released its quarterly information report for the final quarter of 2011.
The report looks at smartphone and tablet devices activated amongst Good Technology customers.
