Mercedes-Benz says it’ll soon be fitting its cars with smartphone and tablet charging panels that use the Qi wireless standard.
The announcement follows a recent decision by the Consumer Electronics for Automotive association (CE4A) to endorse Qi.

Apple has announced two new iPhone smartphones this evening.
The iPhone 5s is the company’s new flagship handset, described as the world’s first smartphone with 64-bit desktop-class architecture. As well as using Apple’s A7 chip it also has an improved 8 megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

Japanese motor manufacturer Nissan is creating a smartwatch designed specifically for drivers of its high-performance Nismo cars.
The Nissan Nismo Concept Watch, which is being shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show from this week, will capture the driver’s biometric data via a heart rate monitor whilst also reporting on vehicle telematics and performance data.

EE says it’s connected more than one million 4G customers in the UK, four months ahead of its end-of-year target.
The company launched its 4G UK service on 30th October 2012 and currently provides service to more than 100 towns and cities.
