Microsoft appears on Android phones, thanks to Motorola

Motorola has announced a global partnership with Microsoft to put Microsoft's Bing search and mapping services on Motorola's Android-powered phones. It's a largely unexpected move because Android is closely associated with Google, arguably Microsoft's biggest rival.

This new collaboration will first be seen on smartphones launched in China during the next few weeks. Consumers will see a Bing bookmark on their browser and a search widget with Bing integration.
