PayPal plans NFC peer-to-peer mobile payments within a few weeks

PayPal has announced a peer-to-peer NFC solution that's expected to be available towards the end of summer 2011.

A new Android widget will let people pay money to friends by 'tapping' two NFC-compatible phones against each other.

EA buys mobile game company PopCap

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced an agreement to acquire PopCap Games, a US-based company that produces games for mobile phones, tablets, PCs and social network sites.

PopCap has produced a number of popular titles including Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled and Zuma.
