Mobile video streaming service Qik, which was acquired by Skype earlier this year, has released a desktop application. It's part of a new chargeable 'premium' suite of services.
The Qik Desktop application lets users organise and share their mobile-recorded videos using a PC.

Last week Gartner calculated that worldwide mobile advertising revenue this year was going to be more than double last year’s total.
ABI Research has just released its own calculations - and they're also very positive. It says last year's total of almost $2 billion spent on mobile advertising worldwide will more than treble to over $7 billion in 2012.
