HTC has launched a compact version of its flagship HTC One smartphone.
The HTC One mini echoes the design of the HTC One but in a smaller size and lower spec, running Android on a dual-core 1.4 GHz processor with a 4.3-inch display.

Karsten Nohl from Berlin-based Security Research Labs has found a way to use ‘over the air’ updates to take over mobile phones.
Although it only affects older SIM cards, he says the security flaw could affect up to 750 million phones worldwide.

Vodafone’s latest quarterly results show the company’s European businesses suffering from what it calls ‘increased competitive intensity’. Overall, group service revenue including joint ventures reached £10.16 billion.
That’s a 2.5% increase year-on-year but the organic figure - excluding events such as acquisitions - shows a 3.5% drop.

Microsoft has announced its fourth quarter and full-year financial results.
Quarterly revenue was up 10% year-on-year to $19.90 billion (£13.01 billion), while annual revenue was up 6% to $77.85 billion (£50.91 billion).
