ExclusivePressure-sensitive navigation pads coming to mobile phones

Yorkshire-based touch technology company Peratech Limited has agreed to license its Quantum Tunnelling Composite technology to Samsung for use in 5-way 'navikeys' on mobile phones. The deal has been done with Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung's component manufacturing business.

QTC switches are force-sensitive, which means the speed of scrolling through a list or playing a game can vary depending on how hard the 5-way switch is pressed.
