Machine-to-machine communications specialist Wireless Logic has been sold by Peter Jones CBE.
The deal, worth £35 million, involves private equity firm ECI Partners and the Wireless Logic management team.

Research In Motion has announced a free online service called BlackBerry Management Center.
It's designed for businesses with up to 100 BlackBerry smartphones. The business owner can automatically back-up information, remotely lock the handset, search for lost devices and remotely wipe content.

Chinese IT and telecoms company Huawei has released its financial results for the first half of 2011.
Sales revenue was up 11% year-on-year to CNY 98.3 billion (around £9.4 million), while operating profit was reported as CNY 12.4 billion.

Google has agreed to acquire Motorola Mobility in a deal worth $12.5 billion. Everything's expected to be finalised towards the end of this year or in early 2012.
In a blog post, CEO Larry Page said "Motorola's total commitment to Android in mobile devices is one of many reasons that there is a natural fit between our two companies."

The GSMA, the global trade organisation that represents the interests of mobile operators, has announced the appointment of Anne Bouverot as Director General.
She'll lead the GSMA from 1st September when current CEO Rob Conway leaves the organisation.
